Grammy Award winners Eric Tingstad and Nancy Rumbel have performed, recorded and toured together for over 24 years with 19 albums to their credit. Nancy grew up in San Antonio, Texas and continued her musical education at Northwestern University where she became interested in ethnomusicology, improvisation and dance. Eric grew up in Seattle and attended Western Washington University where he was trained in the Segovian classic guitar tradition. He is a product of influences like Led Zeppelin, Hawaiian slack key guitar, Ravi Shankar and Martin Denny. If there are such things as musical constants in the universe, Tingstad and Rumbel must appear on any such list. Few, if any, artists have, consistently through the years, delivered such a consistent flow of quality music. The duo who hails from the Pacific Northwest possesses unassailable integrity and immense talent.
The historic, quaint, and charming Oysterville Church will be an ideal venue for this remarkable, soul-stirring, duo.
