Company of Angels presents A Playwrights Group Workshop of Tira Palmquist's AGE OF BEES
Its one hundred years in the future. The bees are gone and humans are forced to pollinate their own crops in order to avoid total starvation. Famine and disease threaten the globe. When an injured explorer, Jonathan, stumbles upon a remote and struggling apple farm, he meets Mel, a young woman who has grown up in shelter from the outside world's dangers, under the protection of the farm's leader, Zed. However, Jonathan and Mel soon realize that her safety may come at a very high price...
