A Life Outside

A story of passion and obsession, A LIFE OUTSIDE intertwines the relationships and lives of six New Jersey surfers who strode into the waves and haven"t stopped their pursuit of surf for the last fifty years. Surfing the freezing waters before wetsuits existed, hoisting boards when they were long and heavy, skipping school when the swell was up, enduring criticism and low opinions by those who did not surf " these six individuals pioneered surf back in the 1960s, riding the waters at the famed Casino Pier in Seaside Heights, New Jersey. They found themselves inside the grip of passion, within an obsession so deep that only those who ride would understand. But in October of 2012, Hurricane Sandy hit. Towns, homes, and the Casino Pier were destroyed. The lives of the New Jersey crew was forever changed and infinitely affected. A LIFE OUTSIDE is about having the courage"in and out of the water"to live life deeply, simply, and close to the nature around us.
