Michelle and Jeffrey look forward to entertaining you with a medley of song styles, comedy, and audience interaction. She will sing, he will whistle, they will knock your socks off!
Michelle Lecce-Hewitt is a multi-instrumentalist extraordinaire who has wowed audiences at venues such as the Flying Beaver Pubaret, Slack's, and the Transac. She has been performing live for many yearsshe was practically a baby when she began tickling the ivories! After having received her Honours A.R.C.T. diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Music, she continued her love for the art of music and is currently a music teacher and accompanist. At the Kiwanis Festival, she won "Best of Class" and the adjudicator advised that her rendition of Debussy's "Golliwogg's Cakewalk" was the best that he had ever heard. Not only does she play piano and guitar, she is a strong singer who performs cover versions along with her own compositions and has performed in her own band. She is excited to be performing with Jeffrey for the first time, following her successful Pubaret show in July 2013.
Jeffrey Amos came out of nowhere to win the Second Place Grand Championship at the 40th International Whistlers Convention in Louisburg, North Carolina in April 2013. He has subsequently been featured in the Toronto Star, and as a guest on City TV's Breakfast Television, CBC's Maritime Morning, and on CTV News and has performed for audiences in the GTA. Jeffrey uses a rare technique called "palate whistling" to perform old favourites from musicals, popular classics from the 20th century, classical favourites, and contemporary songs. This is Jeffrey's second performance at the Pubaret - He is thrilled to be performing for the first time with the wonderfully talented Michelle.
