***SHOWS HAVE RESERVED SEATING: Seating arrangements will be based on the order of purchase and any special needs, such as wheelchair access or group seating. Seats will be held until 10 minutes after showtime, after that time all empty seats are released.

Backed by a fine-edged foursome of instrumentalists, including Lepoldo Fleming, Simone's original percussionist, shimmery, sensuous Pauline Jean pays tribute the jazz/soul icon, Nina Simone. Jean presents both Simone's music and her oft-declared-in-song emotional response to being a woman and being black.

Pauline Jean is a captivating performer, a versatile vocalist and a promising songwriter, gifted with a warm velvety alto voice that truly captures her audience. She graduated cum laude from Berklee College of Music. Her performances include: JVC Jazz Festival New York, Berkley Performance Center, The Aladdin Theatre, Harlem Arts Alliance, and The New York Academy of Arts, among others.
