Instructor:
Mark Yu is an accomplished Kinbaku/Nawa Shibari artist, Acupuncturist, devotee of Taoist Oriental Medicine and Zen, Bamboo Artist and Feng Shui design consultant. Mark has taught bondage, healing arts and energetic play techniques publicly and privately for several years.

Workshop Description:
"The Conscious Dominant: Intention and Awareness in Vigorous Rope Play"
Much has been said about 'Intention' in rope scenes. Intention creates a framework for the scene to develop around. This is, of course, very important, but it is only half of what it takes to make a rope scene a powerfully meaningful and extraordinary experience. What needs to be added to this Intention is 'Awareness'.
Yin and Yang are the forces behind all manifestation. This Yin and Yang, in this case, the 'Awareness' and 'Intention', are what give people the ability to create a powerful and transformative rope scene. Awareness is the substance that can fill the frame created by the Intention. These two interdependent and mutually supporting ideas together build a broad and safe foundation for any rope scene. These are especially important when a rope scene include factors such as strong physical and psychological Domination, fast and rough rope play and intense, intimate personal power relations.
This class will explore these ideas and demonstrate exercises to help both the Dominant and submissive become more aware of how they experience firm and direct dominant rope play. It will help them to understand ways to build a focused connection that enables them to have safer, stronger and more intimate scenes.
Exercises will include rope techniques for fast and secure ties, body positioning for maximum Domination effect, and physical and mental awareness practices for both you and your partner that will make your rope play more connected, intense and intimate.
Workshop Limited to 30 people
