New Choir Summer Concert SUN June 15th 7 pm
The New Choir invites you to our June concert of "Morning and Night songs". Works that provide beautiful portrayals of morning and night; from the gentle morning breeze in "Ecco mormorar L'onde" to the night of melancholy in "Draw on, Sweet Night". Also songs about the bitter night of Crucifixion and the glorious morning of the Resurrection, along with the rich melody of Abenlied, a motet by Rheinberger. Also featured are two Korean art songs, arranged for the New Choir, accompanied by a master dae-gum player (traditional Korean bamboo flute) And everyone's favorite, The Lion Sleeps Tonight.
