Stage 23 Broadway Academy Workshop

Stage 23's Broadway Academy connects passionate,
dedicated musical theater students with working
Broadway actors who have a wealth of performance,
audition and class experience.

Our Three-Hour Broadway Masterclass is broken into three parts:

First, you will face a Broadway style dance audition designed to demystify the process and provide a positive working environment as we push you through a fun and challenging audition dance class for all levels. Hone your craft as you get immediate adjustments & corrections from our #S23BwayPros who have the experience, insight and techniques for making the best showing possible at a dance call, no matter what your current level of ability.

Next, you will perform your own song selections in our our mock vocal audition. Our skilled pros will coach each student on making the right song choice, the ins and outs of a singing audition and how to function "in the room." We will help students develop their "Audition Book" selections, by providing instant-feedback during "auditions" and leading personally-tailored performance exercises to help break nervous habits and instill confidence. Each student will receive personal attention and work time in a nurturing and educational environment. Everyone benefits from hearing the corrections and suggestions given to fellow students, so this is a fun and important segment for everyone. Bring your Audition Book and be prepared for anything!

Our day will wrap up with an open Q&A. Feel free to ask us anything and everything about showbiz, pick our brains about the rehearsal process, previews, performances, touring, unions, and juggling a life and a career. Prepare your questions, but you'll probably come up with twice as many during the course of the day. It's ok, we can handle them!
