Belltown Burlesque Revue: Where We Came From
When June comes to call, some people like to look back at the first half of the year and see where they came from as they plot the way forward through the rest of the year. Here at the Belltown Burlesque Revue we not only approve of this approach, we're going to do it one better! We're going to spend an evening looking at the roots of the neo burlesque movement through the lens of classic burlesque! It's an evening of tributes to those who laid the foundation we dance upon and a celebration of the classic bump and grind.
The Belltown Burlesque Revue: Where We Came From is on June 14th on the very eastern edge of Belltown in Seattle at the Re-Bar. The Dyke with the Spikes, Lilith von Fraumench is our Mistress of Ceremonies. Paying tribute to our roots are The Shanghai Pearl, Angie Z from Miami, Tamara "The Trapeze Lady", Miss Violet DeVille, Sailor St. Claire, Olatsa Assassin, Jesus la Pinga, Cirquesse, Shae Dravenmore, and Betty Fish. Doors open at 6:30 pm, seating at 7:00 pm, show at 7:30 pm. Tickets start at $13 and are available through BrownPaperTickets.com and $15 day of the show.
