Chapter, and recent Gulf States Regional Director to the National AIA Board.

There is a rapidly growing awareness that our work as architects can create communities that promote health and wellbeing. The meeting will explore the connection between what we build and our physical, social, and emotional health. Gary Gaston, Assoc. AIA and Becky Carter will join Cyril Stewart, AIA in sharing the latest findings and best practices for designing healthy neighborhoods. Becky will share details of the upcoming "Building A Healthy Neighborhood" event where 15 homes will be renovated and a playground constructed. You will come away with a new understanding and appreciation of the role of architects in creating healthy places.
