How San Francisco is Positioning Its Largest Industry for Future Success

San Francisco's travel industry is the largest contributor to the wealth and vitality of our City and the region. In 2012 a partnership between the San Francisco Tourism Improvement District (SFTID) and the City & County of San Francisco completed a very successful $56 million renovation of Moscone Center. Come and tour the renovated Center and hear from the SFTID and its design team about how the renovations brought new vitality to the Moscone Center enhancing its attraction to conventions by adding much needed capital infrastructure improvements, state-of-the-art WIFI, hospitality-quality finishes and obtaining LEED Gold accreditation. Following the tour, see a presentation of exciting new design ideas yet to come that will expand the Moscone Center to further enhance its competitive position while culturally integrating the Center with the Yerba Buena Gardens and neighborhood.
