Snap on 2&4 w/ the Joe Gross Quartet
Join us on Friday, June 27 as we welcome the Joe Gross Quartet to the Jazz Cave! Joe's aniticipated first performance at NJW will continue our Snap on 2&4 series.
Joe built himself an impressive resume in the Chicago area as one of the most in-demand trumpet players. Having picked up the horn at an early age, Joe studied with a variety of trumpet and jazz theory maestros. His studies at Northeastern Illinois University connected him with familiar faces including Art Porter and Rod McGaha.
Joe's prolific performance career includes collaborations with Peter Nero, Michel LeGrande, Nelson Riddle, Lou Marini, and Jon Faddis among countless others. He also held a seat with the prestigious Jazz Knights--a premier component of the United States Military Academy Band--from 1995 to 2003.
Perhaps not as well known in Music City, Joe has been extremely active in his new home. He has performed with Nashville heavyweights such as as Claude McKnight, Jeff Coffin, Roy "Futureman" Wooten and Chester Thompson among others. The folks at NJW are excited to see what comes next from Mr. Gross!
Joining Joe for this performance will be Jody Nardone on piano, Jerry Navarro on bass, and Nioshi Jackson on drums.
Admission is $20 / $10 high school and college students with ID.
