We will be performing Frankenstein again on Sept. 26 and 27 at the Springfield Museums. Here is the link: http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/777020
The play Frankenstein is a new adaptation of Mary Shelley's novel, written and performed by Lindel Hart as the Creature, Court Dorsey playing the roles of Victor Frankenstein, Mr. DeLacey, Elizabeth and William, and with Jane Williams playing Mary Shelley. The production will feature projection design by Florian Canga illustrating the story through light and image that will also draw parallels to our troubled present. Handheld video projectors and video installation manipulated by the character Mary Shelley will incorporate images from the Scientific Revolution of her time with present day images of genome mapping, stem cell research, quantum mechanics, chaos theory and more. By highlighting the prescience of Shelley's novel we hope to further the process of changing our Story from one that sanctions dominance over nature to the New Story of our interconnectedness that will allow the human race to thrive in respectful relationship with the planet. FYI THIS IS A PG-13 SHOW THAT CONTAINS NUDITY, SEXUAL CONTENT, AND GUNSHOT SOUNDS.
An inspiration for the piece is to bring life and light into the magnificent Bank building, and to offer audiences the chance to see what is possible there. Working closely with the CDC and John Waite to bring about this event, it is our hope that the invitation to experience a theater production created for and starring the BANK will spin the fly wheel of progress to bring a long needed multi-purpose venue for art and more to downtown Greenfield.
