An Evening with Reilly & Maloney
Perhaps the most endearing duo to grace the West Coast folk music scene, a reunited Ginny Reilly & David Maloney bring their timeless sound to the Olympic Peninsula on Friday, November 13, 2009. Expect old favorites and 'new-classics' from these two storied, accomplished musicians, who have recorded two albums of new material this decade and have recently completed reissuing their entire catalog on CD (& DVD).
With careers that date back to 1970 and a devoted following, Reilly & Maloney packed houses across the country, sharing stages with the likes of Judy Collins, Tom Paxton, and Greg Brown. Anyone who has ever heard David's fine baritone interlace with Ginny's pure soprano in-person can testify to the power and pleasure of the experience: "a small antidote to the fear, despair, and powerlessness that is part of our current world," remarks one folk-music DJ. After a 10-year hiatus from 1991-2001, the pair returned to performing, and communities across the country are discovering and remembering the uplifting, heartwarming feelings that a night with Reilly & Maloney will provide.
If you missed last year's triumphant return, don't let this event from a timeless and classic Northwest dueting treasure slip by!
