Whatcom Museum Sunset History Cruise
ABOUT The tour takes a close-up view of parks, businesses, industry and neighborhoods from Bellingham Bay. It travels down waterways, past shipyards, historic points of interest, fishing activities and the work and pleasure boats, freighters and tugboats that are in the harbor. Harbor seals and water birds are regularly seen it's a memorable evening!
Brian Griffin is your tour guide, tying his knowledge of local history with up-to-date facts about bay activities. His narrative of history, trivia and current events makes cruise guests feel they are becoming experts on their community and have new understanding of the place they live or are visiting.
Guests travel aboard the 110-foot Puget Sound tour boat Island Caper, which leaves from Squalicum Harbor near downtown Bellingham. Squalicum Harbor is the Port of Bellingham's boat haven for almost 1500 fishing and pleasure boats. The Island Caper has inside seating for more than 100 passengers, plus a covered upper deck viewing area. It has two main-deck onboard restrooms with household toilets and many more amenities.
WHEN? The cruise departs every Thursday beginning July 9th and ending Aug 27th.

HOW MUCH ARE TICKETS? Whatcom Museum member ticket: $30 Non-member ticket: $35 Groups of 8+per : $28 Under 5: free (Please let us know if children under 5 are boarding with you when you purchase tickets as we need to include them in the head count)
WHERE CAN WE BUY TICKETS? Tickets go on sale May 27, 2014. You may purchase tickets through Brown Paper Tickets website; or by calling 800-838-3006, extension 1; or through the Whatcom Museum's Museum Store located at 250 Flora St. Bellingham, WA 98225.
WHAT TIME DOES THE CRUISE BEGIN AND END? The cruise boards at 5:30pm, departs promptly at 6pm, and returns to the dock around 8:30 pm
WHERE IS THE BOAT LOCATED? Island Mariner Cruises is located at 2621 South Harbor Loop Drive, Bellingham WA 98225 (once you're on Roeder Ave, turn left onto Coho Way. Go through the parking lot toward the back and you will board next to the big Orca whale statue.)
CAN WE BRING FOOD? Yes you may bring dinner/snacks/beverages but may not bring your own alcohol. Beer and wine is sold on board only.
