Lianne Mauladin Headlines Comedy Cove
Lianne Mauladin is known for her laid back, Rock n' Roll style of comedy. She talks about her non-traditional life experiences and surprises audiences with her view of society. She performs regularly at comedy clubs in and around Toronto and has also performed in Florida, California, New York, Boston and Texas. Lianne performed at the Durham Region Comedy Festival, the Out of Bounds Festival in Austin, Texas, the Frigid Festival in NYC, the Women in Comedy Festival in Boston, NXNE, and the Hubcap Festival in Moncton NB. Lianne performed live on ABC's "The View", and has a television sit-com in development with Sienna Films.
Lianne was selected by the Tim Sims Encouragement Fund to perform in the annual Freshmeat Showcase at Second City. Her comedy has been recorded and or televised on ABC, Bite TV, iChannel, XM Satellite Radio, CBC and Rogers TV.
Lianne hosts and produces the Mary-Janes of Comedy which is the longest running all female stand=up comedy show in Toronto. She also headlines the "Mary Janes of Comedy" touring a show. She has toured with Shelley Marshall's "Full Bawdy Comedy" show and has opened for comics such as Nikki Payne, John Dunsworth (Mr. Lahey, Patrick Roach (Randy), Debra Di Giovanni and Elvira Kurt. Lianne has further developed her stand up through classes and workshops at Second City, Boston's Improv Asylum and at the Comedy Bar in Toronto.
