TPR Cinema Tuesdays Series: Contempt
The 2014 TPR Cinema Tuesdays Series continues with Jean-Luc Godard's "Contempt (Le mépris)."
Brigitte Bardot stars in this film about the conflict between a European director and a crude American producer over a remake of Homer's Odyssey. The screenwriter hired to rewrite the film loses stature in his wife's eyes, as she believes he is using her to further his ambitions. Jack Palance and Michel Piccoli also star.
This film is not rated, and may not be appropriate for children.
Tickets are available for a suggested price of $10 for TPR Members and $15 for non-members. Proceeds benefit Texas Public Radio.
