Gefilte Fish
A film that makes you remember! Manya, a stubbornly independent Russian Jewish widow who dreads the thought of being moved into a home, is assigned a helper to prepare her home before Passover. Manya gets an odd surprise when Terrence, an African-American young man, shows up on her doorstep. Manya must make her infamous gefilte fish to prove her independence to her family so she leaps out of her comfort zone and spends the day running errands and cooking with Terrence. Initially, Manya and Terrence get along like cats in a sack, but eventually in spite of their equally stubborn and suspicious characters, they learn that help and support often comes from the most unexpected places.
