Food Safety Workshop with Lisa Spicka
If you are a farmer or a food producer, this workshop is for you! Mitigate your risk by using food safety best practices.
This seminar will combine food safety theory with workshop exercises to identify top food safety risks and possible improvements for participants' production facilities. Theory will include but is not limited to a review of:
-Sanitary Facility and Equipment Design
-Employee Hygiene
-Product Handling
-Sanitation Practices
Workshop exercises will include working in small groups to develop a product flow chart, identify potential food safety risks, and develop corrective actions to reduce or eliminate those risks. "Example" companies will be provided for exercises for participants who do not yet have a production facility. A few brave participants will be asked to summarize their product flow and top safety risks to the group for discussion.
Participants will walk away with a production flow chart, identified top food safety risks, and a risk mitigation plan.
