Speakers:
Trevor Resurreccion is a partner at Weil & Drage, and an experienced litigator representing architects, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, and other members of the design and construction industry. He received his undergraduate degree in Architecture with a concentration in construction management. His undergraduate education included classes in architectural design, specifications, construction management, bid estimates, project scheduling and numerous other related courses. Trevor's background in the design and construction industry includes hands-on experience on construction projects, including construction administration for an international architectural firm on a high-profile project in Los Angeles and construction management for Georgetown University on a significant university project. Throughout his undergraduate education, law school education and as a practicing attorney, Trevor has continued his involvement in the design and construction industry as an active member of The Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) and the Society of American Military Engineers. As an attorney, he prides himself in his commitment to advocacy for his clients, small and large. He has experience in all aspects of litigation, including arbitrations, trials, and appeals. He is licensed to practice law in California and Nevada.
Jacqueline Pons-Bunney is Managing Partner at Weil & Drage. She is licensed in both California and Arizona, and opened the firm's Arizona office in 2008. She focuses her practice primarily on the representation of design, construction, and real estate professionals in a wide array of actions. Her undergraduate degree in Architecture affords her unique insight and advantage in dealing with adversaries and understanding the design and construction process. This varied background also allows her to meet the needs and concerns of her clients because she understands the industry literally from the ground up. Her legal experience includes matters ranging from simple fee disputes to multi-million dollar, high-profile construction cases involving high-rise condominiums, resorts, residences, schools, highways, wastewater treatment facilities, and other large public and private projects. In addition to her extensive litigation experience, Jacquie counsels her clients in negotiation of complex contracts, as well as complicated risk management issues. She has been involved in the drafting and negotiation of contracts involving both public works and private projects with construction values in the multi-million dollar range. She has authored several articles on risk management and has presented seminars to various groups in the construction and insurance community.
