COMING OF AGE 2014-2015 Season
Our 2014/2015 season is a big milestone for us- we've grown up! To celebrate our 18th year, our season explores characters that are coming of age in extraordinary circumstances.
For many of us, we've faced the rites of passage of moving out, landing the job, and perhaps even tying the knot with the one we love. In the upcoming season, we will watch as the marriage between Desdemona and Othello becomes the fertile ground for Iago's destructive plans in Othello. We will see Shagspeare weigh his success as a playwright with his life in Bill Cain's Equivocation. And watch as Rosalind's unceremonious banishment by her uncle in As You Like It is just the thing she needs to discover love.
It's our Coming of Age season, where we invite you to join us in watching characters struggle with the pain and joy of being on the threshold of the next stage of life.

Othello
October 2-12, 2014
Directed by Ron Jenkins
Starring Glenn Davis as Othello
When Othello, the Moor of Venice, is appointed General of the Venetian Army, he passes over Iago for a promotion. Fueled by malice, Iago plots the Moor's downfall, poisoning Othello's faith and trust in everyone around him, especially his beautiful wife, Desdemona. Shakespeare's intense and thrilling tragedy examines love, jealousy, and racial politics with one of the greatest villains at the epicentre.
Equivocation by Bill Cain
February 26-March 7, 2015
Lunchbox Theatre
Remember, remember, the 5th of November. Robert Cecil, Prime Minister, commissions Shagspeare to write the "True Historie" of the gunpowder plot. But as Shag and his merry men start to unravel the story, they discover the kings version may be a cover-up. Does he take the money and betray his moral principles or risk his life and his fellow Globe actor's lives, by writing a play that tells the truth? Bill Cain's high stake's political thriller is one of the most intelligent, and poignant theatrical plays in decades.
As You Like It
April 30-May 10, 2015
Directed by Mark Bellamy
Banished into exile by her uncle and reigning duke, Rosalind seeks haven in the Forest of Arden, where her usurped father dwells with his followers. Disguised as a boy, she councils Orlando, the man she secretly loves, in the art of love and wooing. Bursting with humour and song, and showcasing one of Shakespeare's most compelling heroines, As You Like It is an audience favourite that revels in the passion of new love.
