UpCDownC, Kellar & ENVOYS
We're bringing you the post-rock goodness this time round!
We are honoured and delighted to welcome UpCDownC!
A four-piece band from Kent formed in 2000. They've gigged extensively throughout Kent, London and the UK playing support roles to the likes of 65 Days of Static, Oneida, Kinski, The Drones, Bossk to name a few and as sound carriers for Damo Suzuki as well as headlining and setting up there own shows/tours, and appearing at the prestigious ArcTanGent festival in 2013.
Over the course of the past decade, UpCDownC have gotten together, broken up, realigned, gone digital and experimented with a longer name, but in all this time, they've never stopped rocking. Black Sea is the proof. With a host of classics already in their back catalogue (namely And the Battle Is Won and Embers), one might expect the band to rest on its laurels, but here we are in 2014, and the riffs are just as strong, if not stronger. And with an electrifying live show, they are a band not to be missed!
Before them we have the mighty Kellar! The Brighton based improvisational noise rock duo released the acclaimed 'Four-Square Cipher album last year, and we're very excited to see them play live again!
Opening the night we have ENVOYS!
ENVOYS are a largely instrumental quartet from Leeds, West Yorkshire. They can be described as a post-rock/metal band, but the varied, evolving sound of debut album Violescent, released and self financed in 2013, suggests this description falls somewhat short! A powerful live beast, they were recently gaining new admirers while playing at the highly acclaimed StrangeForms festival in Leeds!
And with Kunal from Chaos Theory on DJ duties, this is gong to be a pretty special night!
