This two-part, information-packed workshop will guide you through today's dynamic online world and help you make smart choices about how to effectively communicate, present and market your artwork. You'll also learn important tips to protect your intellectual property online and tools for backing up your images ensuring that your artistic legacy is properly archived for the future.
The workshop is offered in two sessions: morning and afternoon. The morning session provides an overview of social media strategy for artists, including how to protect and safeguard your images in the digital age. The afternoon session goes into greater detail on how to create an online presence using WordPress and social media sites.

Morning Session: 10 AM - 12 noon Online Options for Visual Artists: Creating Your Presence and Safeguarding Your Images
Plan to attend this session if you want a high-level overview of the online options available to you. You'll learn what sites are most valuable to artists and why. This session will also present detailed information on how to properly safeguard, watermark and store your images for archiving, and make image retrieval for online applications or website updates simpler. Afternoon Session: 1:30 - 3:30 PM Streamline Your Online Presence: Eliminate the Confusion and Polish Your Image
Continuing where the morning left off, the afternoon session goes deeper into how to use top social media sites to market yourself and your artwork. Learn how you can have an effective artistic profile on LinkedIn, and how to personalize your website with WordPress, avoiding the "template look." Discussion will focus on keys to a successful presence online and how to maximize your impact with the least amount of time and work. Instructor: Robin Avni
