The Mighty 18 Wheeler (CD RELEASE) W/Turn 4, and Dickie Jaguar
The Mighty 18 Wheeler was spawned out of the mid 90's L.A. based swing band, Jumpin' Jimes. During their live shows every Sunday night at the World Famous Derby, they would let the horn section relax and perform a blistering set of Old School Rockabilly. They called the band the 3 Deuces. After swing had come and gone , Bobby Smith continued on with the 3 Deuces, aptly renaming the band after his father's profession...18 Wheeler! With their ever-evolving sound, they drive their thrashing rig' of rock and roll fast and hard. Fans had better hang on tight when they climb aboard the Mighty 18wheeler for a musical journey to the furious frontiers of Rockabilly, Punk, and Rock and Roll!- a place home to the Mighty 18Wheeler! Bobby Smith (Guitars) and longtime sidekick Jimmy Kolodziej (upright bass) have carved out a metal-billy approach which waivers somewhere between Eddie Cochran and Motorhead. The latest addition to the band is drummer Matt Wiggins , a veteran of the Denver Music Scene and final piece of the band.
