A rare opportunity to work with foolsFURY Artistic Director Ben Yalom. This course will provide techniques, strategies, and insights into creating truly innovative theater. We will explore ways of expanding your artistic vision for a piece, and learn to use tools such as the Viewpoints in conveying narrative and creating structure. We will dissect traditional notions of directing, discard those that don't serve, and look at innovative models to approach creation. Each student will direct a short piece, and be coached through the process. A public presentation of the work will be held on the final class day.
4 Saturdays, 6 hrs sessions, 24 hours of class time
Limited class size of 8 directors
Receive personal attention and individual feedback throughout the process.
