ÂI am delighted to have this chance to speak about two of my passions: music and
film. I will be asking fundamental questions about the role of music in film (why is
it there at all?) and taking a critical look at some iconic marriages of film and
music (coming to conclusions you may find controversial!) I will also talk about
some of the technical aspects of putting music to film.
The seminar will be illustrated with examples from films old and new and will be of
interest to film-makers as well as film-watchers.Â
