Drakes Brewing Beer Dinner
Sessions Public is doing a three course all IPA dinner with Drakes Brewing. Featured beers will be paired with Indian inspired food complementing the hoppy India Pale Ales. Beers are as follows:
Alpha Session
Our bright and hoppy session ale.
Light and refreshing with 2-row barley, Marris Otter, and a touch of C-45 malts, but hopped up with classic West Coast hops and an ample dry-hop of Simcoe, El Dorado, and EXP 01210 for lively citrus note, and a subtle dank, pine edge.
We call it a NorCal Bitter.

DRAKE'S DENOGGINIZER
An Imperial India Pale Ale. Denogginizer is a big, bold beer hopped with an abundant amount of dank, citrusy American hops. Crystal and Munich malts add color and a subtle caramel malt flavor that helps balance out the immense hop dosings in this monster Imperial IPA. Enjoy the boldness of the citrus and resinous hops, but please remember: Hold on to your head. Available Year Round.

THE DENOGGINIZER STORY:

In January of 2004, Drake's brewers sought to create a beer to turn some heads. They crafted a massive Imperial IPA with a full body, smooth malt backbone, and an utterly irresponsible amount of pungent, dank, American hops. After three weeks in the tanks and one minor incident involving a pressure relief valve jettisoning across the cellar and nearly decapitating a brewer, a beer an its name were born. Citizens be warned, even without a tank valve careening at high speeds, Denogginizer has been know to blow a few minds.

Drake's IPA
Drake's flagship beer! Our West Coast-style India Pale Ale is copper-colored from additions of Munich malt and light Crystal malt there to balance the impending hop onslaught. Aromas of pine and grapefruit waft from the classic American hops Chinook, Cascade, and Centennial. The finish is clean and dry with a lingering hop bite. Available Year Round.

THE DRAKE'S IPA STORY:

In 1991, Drake's put its first IPA into the tanks for the ever-growing number of craft beer fans yearning for hops. Originally more of an English-American hybrid IPA, over time Drake's brewers kept the high quality English specialty malts but moved toward a more West Coast approach. They ultimately created the balanced, dry IPA brimming with piney and citrus aromas from classic Yakima Valley "C" hops (think Cascade, Centennial, Chinook, Columbus) that continues to win over hop fans with every pint.
