PHYSICAL MUSICALITY : Noh theatre
The focus of the Physical Musicality workshop will be to discover the unique lyrical nature of each individual performer and expand their dynamic struggle for theatricality. Participants will experience the meticulous body articulation, concentration and focus a traditional Noh dance demands. Following the identification of a few of Nohgaku's (accomplished entertainment) underlying foundations, participants will explore and experiment with these valuable performer's tools. Nohgaku's inherent principles are time-tested, unique and come together to create a refined and powerful stage aesthetic. Participants please wear comfortable clothing and tabi (split toed sock) or socks and bring a jacket
