Illyria: Conni's Avant Garde Restaurant
This modern language riff on Shakespeare's classic romp, Twelfth Night, is set among the inhabitants of the Lower East Side. Real estate developers, displaced street artists and musicians, personal assistants, and longtime residents of the neighborhood trying to find their way back home ... these are the tour guides to our Ilyria. New York City with its rich and colorful neighborhood history provides the backdrop for three intersecting tours with visits to a number of local establishments. Wear comfortable walking shoes.
Tours will depart from 3 different locations in close proximity to LES subway lines. You should receive an email from tours@avantgarderestaurant.com within 24 hours after you purchase tickets with your tour guide assignment and meeting location. We will run the show rain or shine, so please be prepared for the weather outdoors and wear comfortable walking shoes. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before curtain, tours will depart promptly at showtime.
