smARTfilms: THE USUAL SUSPECTS
BIMA smARTfilms series fosters community conversation through the merger of visual art, film, and narrative. After the screening, our host and guest(s) will initiate a discussion about the film and its art. All are welcome to participate in an open exchange of ideas during these post-film discussions.
THE USUAL SUSPECTS - Things are not what they seem to be in this film, which begins as a classic whodunit and turns into something completely different. Kevin Spacey, Stephen Baldwin, Kevin Pollak, Benicio Del Toro and Gabriel Byrne star as the five suspects of the film's title. Planning for a heist initially brings them together, but rapidly devolves into a deeper conundrum of human character and the implications of morality. A hosted discussion will follow the film.
The BIMA Bistro will stay open until 7pm in advance of the screening for food and small bites.
