Thirst Fursday Beer School - May 1 - Belgian Beer & Cheese
Join us every first Thursday of the month for our Thirst Fursday Beer School, where we delve deep into a beer category or topic, invite an expert to hang out with us, and learn a lot while we drink a bit.
May 1, 2014 - Belgian Beers, featuring Vanberg & DeWulf Belgian Beer Importers.
Belgian beers run the gamut from pale to dark, mild to strong, but they are always distinctively Belgian. Big flavor impact from native Belgian yeasts and a wide variety of flavor profiles make Belgian beers some of the best to pair with foods.
Wendy Littlefield, co founder of Vanberg & Dewulf and 2013 James Beard Award nominee will join us to chat about her travels in Belgium (and elsewhere), what makes Belgian beers unique, and of course, she'll be bringing some great beers to sample and enjoy.
We'll be pouring:
Monk's Stout (on tap) Hop Ruiter (on tap) Saison DuPont Avril ...plus two more TBA!
And our friends from The Cheese People of Beloit will be here as well, pairing up some of their finest cheeses with world class Belgian brews.
$30/person includes all beer & cheese samples.
