A HOLOCAUST REMEMBRANCE AND CELEBRATION OF LIFE
Arizona's own Paradise Winds join the MusicaNova Orchestra for the world premiere of Graham Cohen's "Unexpected Affinities," a Concerto Grosso commissioned by the Selznick Tikkun Olam Foundation in honor of Holocaust survivors Max and Nina Gurin.
Also on the orchestra program is Franz Schrecker's "Chamber Symphony," a work banned by the Nazis in the 1930s.
The concert features a special appearance by Martin Goldsmith, noted author and classical music radio host on SiriusXM and NPR, who will discuss his recent books "The Inextinguishable Symphony" and "Alex's Wake." Books will be available for purchase and for signing by Mr. Goldsmith, hosted by Changing Hands Bookstore.
