The 1940s Radio Hour BENEFIT PERFORMANCE
"The 1940's Radio Hour is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc."

On July 20th, The Play Troupe of Port Washington will be performing the stage musical, "The 1940s Radio Hour".  This show features the decade's most popular songs and the behind-the-scenes antics at a small radio station full of big characters.

All ticket sales at this Sunday matinee performance will directly benefit Helen Keller National Center for Deaf-Blind Youths and Adults.

Operated by Helen Keller Services for the Blind, the Helen Keller National Center for Deaf-Blind Youths and Adults (HKNC) is the only comprehensive national program that provides information, referral, support, and training  exclusively to youths and adults who are deaf-blind. The residential-based training program, located at its headquarters in Sands Point, NY, provides assessment, comprehensive vocational and rehabilitation training as well as assistance to participants with gaining successful competitive employment, housing, and community resources in their home states. Individuals have an opportunity to engage in a learning community with peers supporting their self-leadership and self-advocacy skills. In the New York metropolitan area, HKNC's Community Services Program provides rehabilitation, vocational, and support services to individuals who are deaf-blind in their homes, worksites, and communities.
Field services include 11 regional offices, over 40 affiliated agencies and Senior Adult Services. Professional training seminars are also conducted both on campus and in the community. HKNC maintains a national registry of individuals who are deaf-blind. For more information, go to www.hknc.org.

General admission - $20.  For more information, go to www.helenkeller.org or contact Deborah Rodriguez (718-522-2122, extension 2204, drodriguez@helenkeller.org) or Marina Carroll (516-944-8900, extension 1310, marina.carroll@hknc.org).
