Since 2013, Feast of Friends has stood out as one of the only continuously active Door's tribute bands in the Northeast. Unlike typical parody tribute acts, this tribute avoids costumes, wigs, and impersonations, instead honoring the unmistakable sound of The Doors with precision and passion. Blending the studio sound with the band's epic live improvisation, FOF captures the Doors' musical essence in every powerful and electrifying performance.
Their memorable live shows feature all the classic hits, and many deep tracks rarely played or never performed live by The Doors. Feast of Friends has performed full live albums including the 1969 self-titled debut, Strange Days, and L.A. Woman.
Frontman Joe McCausland has performed alongside original Doors guitarist Robbie Kreiger. In 2024, Feast of Friends celebrated Jim Morrison's 80th birthday at the historic Orpheum Theater, where they hosted a live video discussion with Doors drummer, John Densmore and the music industry's first rock music critic, Richard Goldstein (Village Voice) as they revisited the renowned 1969 PBS Soundstage interview and performance with The Doors.
