Burdick-Thorne String Quartet

The Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra's Burdick-Thorne String Quartet presents a full length recital at the historic Riviera Theatre in Three Rivers, MI. The Quartet will perform pieces by Haydn, Puccini, and living American composer, Eric Ewazen. With a nature based theme, the music is sure to delight you with lush sounds, beautiful harmonic texture, and the powerful energy of the Burdick-Thorne String Quartet.

In addition to numerous string quartet performances, community service programs, and extensive educational work, Grace Byrd, Lisa Williams and David Peshlakai also serve as Artists-in-Residence (AIRs) with the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra. The Quartet has performed to great acclaim throughout Michigan, including recitals in Muskegon, Grand Rapids, Holland, Kalamazoo, Coldwater and repeat engagements on Mackinac Island. Their extensive repertoire not only includes standards from the quartet and quintet repertoire, but also new music by contemporary composers. Presented by the Three Rivers Carnegie Center and the Riviera Theatre.
