2014 BOOGIE DOWN DANCE Series presents the Maverick Dance Experience at the new BAAD!
The Maverick Dance Experience is grounded in visceral storytelling, coursing, surveying and exploring the varied political and social constructs of the human condition. Through movement discourse or tête-à-tête, philosophical perspectives are unearthed, unpackaged and unfiltered fostering a binding and affecting dance experience. With ensemble and solitary performance pieces, Toni Renee Johnson and the Maverick experience deliver cross-platform and transcendental artistry across a myriad of dance modalities.
