Weathering and Waiting
This inter-arts performance features a unique apparatus -the aerial canoe - taking audiences on an emotional journey, told with the spectacle of circus, theatre and music. Created and performed by Jennifer Elchuk (Opal), with circus artists Victoria Kopf, Jeff Cadence, original music by aquapher (Jared Bremner) and lighting design by Patricia Levert.
First presented in summer 2024 as part of the opening celebrations at the Canadian Canoe Museum's new waterfront site. This was supported by the Cananda COuncil for the Arts.
The Peterborough Academy of Circus Arts is proud to present a collection of circus acts to compliment this work. Featuring aerial silks with Ryn Kirby, Becky Hurst, Cayley Cowan, poi by Alex Phillips, Lyra by Jillian Marshall, and duo Trapeze with Tegan Moss and Opal Elchuk.
Big thanks to Theatre Trent for supporting this production! https://theatretrent.wordpress.com/
