Danzarts Presents ; "Drums & Strings of the World"
Danzarts will present Drums and Strings of the World on Sunday June 8th, 2014 from 2p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Celebration Hall. The event will provide an entertaining and educational representation of Spain, West Africa and Mexico's traditions and culture, featuring a showcase of traditional ethnic dances flavored with tribal drum beats; guitar and harp from the Mexican states of Tamaulipas, Veracruz and Guerrero; dance from Sabor Mexico Theatrical Dance Company; Spanish guitar, cajon and signing typical of the Andalusian region with La Esencia Flamenco Dance Company; and Teye Sa Thiosanne African Drum and Dance Company. A community cooperative project conceived out of the need for a communal celebration, three culture bearers will lead and prime groups of dancers in a wonderful evening of dance and music. Pre-Sale Admission is $8 for adults and $4 for children. At the door Admission is $10.00 dollars adults and $5.00 dollars Children.
