Drip Irrigation During the Drought
The drought is here, and there's no better time to take a proactive stance in your home and garden. Join author and sustainable gardening expert Robert Kourik for a workshop on drip irrigation and the California drought. His recent book, Drip Irrigation for Every Landscape and All Climates, covers how best to distribute water to the roots of edible and ornamental plants. His new book, Roots Demystified, covers the truth about where roots actually grow, and you might be surprised about what you will learn about caring for your favorite plants. Robert will be presenting topics from both books, including how to use water wisely during the drought, infrequent drip irrigation, and the interaction of soils, roots, and water. Robert Kourik has written 10 books on sustainable gardening and has received national awards from the Garden Writers Association for his work. He has been involved in organic landscape maintenance since 1974, and has worked throughout the state and country on design projects of all sizes, shapes, and textures. Come learn from his experience and take new skills back to your home garden.
