A favourite among Toronto theatergoers, Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat has captivated audiences since its debut at the Elgin Theatre with Donny Osmond in the 1990s. It recently graced the stage of the Princess of Wales Theatre in December 2023. This thrilling musical masterpiece by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice is not to be missed!

As the first collaboration between Rice and Lloyd Webber, this multi-award-winning show has been performed in over 80 countries and is recognized as one of the worlds most beloved family musicals. Full of catchy songs in a variety of stylesfrom a parody of French ballads (Those Canaan Days) to country-western (One More Angel in Heaven) and calypso (Benjamin Calypso)the musical features unforgettable classics like Any Dream Will Do and Close Every Door.
Mainstage is thrilled to bring its unique and creative interpretation of this classic musical to Toronto audiences this spring! With a large ensemble offering numerous opportunities for young performers ages 11 to 21, our production promises engaging solos, a cast of exciting eclectic characters, and vibrant company and dance numbers that place the ensemble at the heart of the show!

ABOUT MAINSTAGE
Founded in 2008 as a not-for-profit offshoot of Children's Arts Theatre School, MAINSTAGE THEATRE COMPANY is a registered charitable organization dedicated to guiding young performing artists to personal and professional success.
Our exciting program gives pre-professional artists ages 11 to 21 the opportunity to create and experience the magic and power of professional theatre. Under the direction of Artistic Director Andrew Tribe, MAINSTAGE is supported by a team of professional artists boasting some of Canada's theatre leaders. An enriched and intense rehearsal process culminates in an audition-based musical theatre production. Known for the skill of its actors, beautifully designed and crafted sets and costumes, and helmed by industry professionals, our productions are an audience hit, and our program has become a competitor in the theatre education industry.
Our intensive actor-training program unlocks our students' unique and creative talents, and provides the tools aspiring actors need to make the most of their potential.

Steps away from Spadina Station, we are accessible by streetcar, subway and bus. Multiple parking lots and numerous food options surround our building.
Accessible entrance is located on Spadina Ave. Wheelchair seating is located at the front and back of the auditorium. Please locate the front of house supervisor when you arrive and they will be happy to escort you.
