Voice for the Actor
Whether you are new to the trade, or an old pro, working out the muscles that make our art possible is an essential thing to do. And what better place to start, or to continue, than the voice.
This 5 week workshop (Five two-hour sessions) will focus on the basic and vital vocal toolkit for the actor: Breath Work, Projection, Resonance, Proper Usage, and Articulation.
Instructor: Michael Bruckmueller holds a BFA in Performance from the University of Minnesota Duluth, and an MFA in Theatre Pedagogy-Voice & Speech, from Virginia Commonwealth University. He has taught classes such as "Voice and Speech for the Stage" and "Dialects" at the university level. His voice coaching credits have taken him to places such as Theatre Virginia, Washington and Lee University, and Harvard University. He is an artistic associate of Commedia Beauregard, and the company's resident Dialect Coach.
Workshop will be limited to 12 to ensure individual attention.
Registration must be paid prior to first session.
