Fly Around Festival of Music and Art
Benefitting Ashe County Recovery and Resilience
In our inaugural year, we are hosting this event to celebrate Appalachia's natural beauty and rich musical traditions while raising funds to support the recovery from the historic floods from Hurricane Helene.
Our festival takes place at the WPA era Lansing School campus, now managed by Lost Province Center for Cultural Arts. LPCCA is committed to restoring the historic school buildings while celebrating and teaching Southern Appalachian culture and skills.
After the devastating floods from Hurricane Helene, LPCCA stepped in and became the epicenter of Lansing and Ashe County recovery efforts. This exceptional response was honored by then Attorney General Josh Stein with a Dogwood Award in December 2024.
We have added an additional performance on Friday evening 8/1/25 at the Old Orchard Creek General Store from 7-9pm with limited seating. The first 100 Festival passes sold will include a free pass to Friday evening's show, after that Friday and Saturday tickets will be sold separately. Saturday shows begin at 2pm, and will be inside the school and on the front lawn.
Children under 12 are free with a ticketed guardian.
