"h_art[work]" (pr. 'Heartwork') is a collective musing on disenfranchised grief through the lens of movement performance. Existing at the intersection of experimental circus, poetry, performance art and dance, the work operates as a collective catharsis for a community by and large neglected by mainstream representations (and therefore social standards) of grief & mourning. An ensemble of artists pull the curtain back on how grief is found, felt, and held when it exists outside the mainstream social tapestry. Set in a Dali-esque fever dream garden, performers must navigate tending to themselves, each other, and the garden itself without guidance or support from the outside world.
