Join Truce Studios for an evening of networking, film, and great local vibes!
The event begins with an hour of networking: meet fellow film fans, creatives, and people working in the CO industry. The feature film "The Flamingo Effect" will then screen with an 85 min run time. Following, the cast & crew - along with writer/ director Julie Jackson - will take Q&A from the audience.
The Flamingo Effect follows Ava (Kaitlin Kennedy), a young woman who struggles with her mental well-being in the face of online bullying. Ava spirals into despair as her father (Jason Knauf) and grandfather (Bruce Carter) support as best they can.
An unexpected visitor (Chris Grundy) changes Ava's life and gives her the courage to ask for help. As she begins to open up to the community around her, Ava embarks on a path of healing and redemption she could've never foreseen.
Explore themes of human connection, self-love, and the power to change our lives.
