As brilliant a young psychologist as he is, Vincent lacks the one thing a psychologist needs most: the ability to empathize. But as Vincent slips further and further into the grip of a sleep disorder with a strange connection to a female arsonist named Janine, he learns firsthand what its like to lose control of your mind. He's falling asleep over meals, in the middle of delivering a lecture, and at many other less than opportune moments. The episodes build to a crescendo of sleep and fire until it almost seems like Janine is treating Vincent rather than vice versa. If so, what is she trying to teach him?
