Paul Rishell & Annie Raines
For more than 32 years Paul Rishell & Annie Raines have been hailed as one of the world's best blues duos. They have recorded multiple albums together, performed and recorded with John Sebastian, Susan Tedeschi, and Pinetop Perkins. They have opened for Ray Charles, Dr. John, and Little Feat.
From 2011-2022 they worked as Visiting Artists in the American Roots Music Program at Berklee College of Music, teaching Country Blues techniques and history to generations of aspiring musicians.
Paul has reached what Boston Phoenix writer Ted Drozdowski called, "a place deep and resonant as Robert Johnson's crossroads, where authenticity, soul, and a sense of purpose and commitment ring out in every note he sings and plays."
Annie has been recognized by top professionals and fans worldwide as the "Queen of the blues harmonica" Muddy Waters' piano player Pinetop Perkins said, "She plays so good it hurts!"
