Dan Boulger at The Laugh Bar
The Laugh Bar is Burlington's newest comedy venue, located underneath the already popular bar "Drink." The Laugh Bar specializes in bringing you the best in local and regional comedic talent. We also offer the same drink specials that you would get upstairs at "Drink." Come down every other Friday night to see what our comedians have to offer and have a $4 Cosmo. Cosmos not your thing? Come back on Sunday for our weekly comedy open mic where you can get all the week's drink specials as well as see our comedians practice their newest material. Dan Boulger began his comedy career in late 2004 only one week into his freshman year of college. Quickly becoming a favorite in the New England area, Boulger started performing nationally after winning the Boston Comedy Festival in 2006 at the age of 20. He has since received recognition from both audiences and industry alike having performed on Comedy Central's Live at Gotham, The BBC, and the HBO Aspen Comedy Festival. Boulger has also been supporting act for many famous comedians including Dennis Miller, Zach Galifianakis and most recently was seen on The Late Show with David Letterman.
Kyle Gagnon has dedicated the last 4 years of his life to writing and performing comedy. Since his first time taking the stage he became an instant favorite to audiences and comedians alike. His unique style and voice helped him win the 2012 Higher Ground Comedy Battle Championship. Kyle was also selected as a finalist in the Funniest Comic in New England contest in 2013 and has opened for the sketch comedy troupe "The Whitest Kids U Know"
Mike Thomas is one of the youngest comedians in the Burlington area with also the longest standing comedy career among other Burlington comics. As a high school freshman Mike did his first show in 2005 at the age of 14. Since then Mike has been seen telling jokes all over New England. He is a 3rd time runner up for the "Higher Ground Comedy Battle" and was a runner up in the first ever "Funniest Comic in Vermont Contest." More recently Mike was asked to open for Kurt Braunohler, and for Kyle Kinane. Mike is also the co-producer of this show.
Carmen Lagala has performed stand-up around Vermont at a variety of venues including the University of Vermont, Norwich University, Saint Michael's College, FlynnSpace, and Higher Ground where she won the 9th annual 2013 Comedy Battle. She has been accepted into the 2014 Women in Comedy Festival, and is a member of the only all-female touring troupe that raises money for non-profits, the Vermont Comedy Divas. Carmen co-founded Vermont's Levity comedy club, and currently books talent for Comedy for a Cause and produces comedy independently, such as Half & Half Comedy at Lounge every Thursday.
