Join us at Tigerlily on Wednesday, February 26 as Chef Rockii Duncan visits their roots with a special Afrokase tasting dinner in celebration of Black History Month. Born into a military family in Virginia and raised on traditional Southern cooking, Chef Rockii got their first taste of Asian cuisine at 8-years old when they relocated to Japan. As Executive Chef at Tigerlily, Chef Rockii is now using their culinary expertise to blend the two cultures for a one-of-a-kind Asian-soul food fusion dinner.
This special dinner includes seven courses, each specially curated by Chef Rockii to connect guests to their story journey through a melting pot of thoughtfully chosen flavors. Think Japanese Onigiri (rice balls) stuffed with collards, black-eyed pea salad with an Asian infusion, or koi-shaped chicken-and-waffle Taiyaki. Dinner includes seven courses and four drink pairings. Tickets are $125.
