A Brothers Revival featuring former bassist of the Allman Brothers David Rook Goldflies

David Rook Goldflies, the former bassist of the Allman Brothers Band, is the founding member and band leader of A Brothers Revival (ABR). This position uniquely positions ABR to carry on the legacy of the Allman Brothers Bands music.

David recorded three albums with the Allman Brothers (Enlightened Rogues, Brothers of the Road, and Reach for the Sky) and one album with Dickey Betts and Great Southern (Atlantas Burning Down). He toured extensively in the U.S. and Europe with the Allman Brothers and Dickey Betts, and Great Southern for over six years.

His tenure in the Allman Brothers Band, alongside Gregg Allman, Dickey Betts, Butch Trucks, and Jaimoe, enables A Brothers Revival to capture the energy and creativity that defined the Allman Brothers performances.

Band Members
David Rook Goldflies  Bass, Violin, and Vocals
Former Allman Brothers bassist, bassist on hit single Black Betty, violinist, and vocalist. Also currently serving as Principal Bassist in the Panama City Symphony Orchestra, Panama City, Florida.

Mike Kach  Keyboard and Vocals
Mike is an exceptional bluesman with his singing and keyboard skills. He toured over fifteen years with Dickey Betts and Great Southern and was a former member of Molly Hatchett.

Jack Judge  Drums
A former student of the University of the Arts in Center City Philadelphia, Jack brings a strong sense of improvisation combined with a great feel to the drum line in A Brothers Revival. Jack is a musician who will understand the roots of Southern Rock and Blues as he helps create the future of music that inspires his generation.

Eric Cohen  Guitar
A gifted guitarist and pedal steel player, Eric comes from a mixture of bluegrass, country music, and the Grateful Dead styles that allow him to deliver super melodic and surprising turns and twists in his playing. Also a guitar teacher, Eric is steeped in the technical and stylistic aspects of many types of music.

Dan Goldberg  Drums
Dan Goldberg brings exceptional technique and an energetic, can-do approach to everything he plays. His fire, focus, and energy drives A Brothers Revival in a way similar to the way Butch drove the Allman Brothers Band.

Luke Mattessich  Guitar and Vocals
A Brothers Revival proudly welcomes an incredible young talent to the stage. Luke Mattessich, a dynamic guitarist and songwriter from Northern New Jersey, brings a fresh yet deeply rooted approach to Southern rock and jam band traditions. With a solid foundation in a variety of stylesincluding folk, fingerstyle, jazz, fusion, and rockLukes versatility and mastery of the guitar make him a perfect fit for A Brothers Revival. Despite his diverse musical explorations, his heart always comes back to Southern rock, which fuels his passion for carrying on this storied legacy. In 2023, Luke recorded a stunning jazz fusion album, Philadelphia, showcasing his range and improvisational skill. This was crafted during his time at the University for the Arts, where he honed his craft with classes in guitar performance and jazz music. His blend of technical expertise and soulful creativity is matched only by his tireless dedication to his craft, making him both an exceptional guitarist and an inspiring musician. Luke embodies the spirit of Southern rock, bridging its legendary past with its vibrant future
