Northwest Guitar Festival

Were excited to announce that the 2025 festival will be held in Seattle, April 4-6, with the generous support of the Seattle Classic Guitar Society and the University of Washington. The festival will include the Adult and Youth competitions, masterclasses, workshops and the Festival Ensemble, and will highlight solo concerts by Simon Farintosh of the University of Victoria (winner of the 2018 NWGF competition), Alan Liu (winner of the 2015 NWGF competition), a concert of guitar and flute by Eli Schille-Hudson and Mehrdad Gholami of Western Washington University. Friday and Saturday Festival events will take place at the West Seattle Church of the Nazarene, Sunday events will be at the UW School of Music, and the Saturday night concert will coincide with the SCGS presentation of the inimitable Los Angeles Guitar Quartet at Benaroya Hall in downtown Seattle.
